A Great Great Expectations!

My homeroom class held the Great Expectations assembly today. Juanda Limore hosted the show. Shelby Crabtree recited the Pledge. David Armstong recited the Student Creed. Josh Miller did the birthday salute, and Tiffani Beissel introduced our Life Principle, "esprit de corps." The students performed a skit written by Cheyenne Brewer and Meanog Lor about teamwork. Then they bravely performed an original song written by Kanyon Rivers, Justin Smith and Tiffany Ward entitled, "Bad to the Bone Monkeys" (our team name!). Kanyon Rivers accompanied with guitar and Justin Smith played drums. We held our assembly in the gym in front of the entire school and all of the students were very composed - probably more than I was!

Earlier at the Rockin' Roosters assembly, sixth graders Meanog Lor and Tara Nodine were honored. Both of these students are here to learn and their behavior shows it. They are both respectful, work well with others, and have positive attitudes. You are both very deserving. Congratulations! Maybe next month's Rockin' Rooster will be you!

Check back later for pictures of Great Expectations!

To give credit where credit is due, I wanted to let everyone know that the previous comment left for this post was actually written by our Main Monkey, Tiffany W, not by Ms. Jaquez.
