Day 3 of Mummy

Codie and Lissa and Ariel are building objects to go inside of the pyramid, and Codie put clay in Lissa's hair. Tyler and Rashele, Jeff and Chris are painting the jars that we put the body parts in. Good job. Seth P., Robyn and Hannah are mixing salt and baking soda together to help the chicken not rot. The chicken stinks today. GROSS!!!!!

Day 2: Chicken Mummies

Yesterday we used sixteen containers of salt. Seth Purdom and Levi Elliott are taking all the salt off the chicken, and they are also weighing and measuring the chicken. GROSS!!! Tyler Beck, Chris McDonald, Jeff Frazier are making the canopic jars. Misty Anderson, Ariel Delossantos, Lissa Grider, Samantha Marcum, Kala King, Sabrina Cole, and Ashlea Shaffer are making heads to go on top of the jars. GOOD JOB!:) Codie Threet is looking up the body parts like the liver, upper intestines, lower intestines and the kidney. COOL!!! :) I can not believe we used so much salt in just one day!!!?? Don't worry, salt doesn't cost that much$$$$$.

Chicken Mummies - Student Entries

Day 1: Chicken Mummies:
Our Teams of Roosters and Beatles are starting their projects making a chicken pharaohs. Kylie Russell, Robyn Hymiller and Hannah Canfield are mixing salt and baking powder to preserve the water for the chicken. Ariel DelosSantos, Diana Saldana, and Misty Anderson mixed scented oil by using ground cinnamon, vegetable oil and cloves. Levi Elliott, Seth Purdom, Tyler Beck, Chris McDonald, and Jeff Frazier are washing the chicken and rubbing the chicken with alcohol. Today the classroom smells like alcohol. Seth Shockley, Jordan Willams, and Josh Pangle put their hands down a chicken put a mixture of salt and baking powder in it.Ethan D'Amico and Levi Mills were also mixing an oil to rub on the chicken so it doesn't stink but we will see what happens with this experiment. The groups also double bagged the chickens to help Lissa Grider, Ariel DelosSantos, Diana Saldana, and me (Codie Threet) are blogging about what the people are doing today in class.We have a lot of interesting things to do. Everyone is having fun and cleaning up to switch to the next class. Over all we did excellent today and we will hopefully see even better tomorrow.
